Description: The late Mr Richard Walter Gibbon left the university his residuary estate to be used by the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences for research into the causes and treatment of cancer and Parkinson’s disease. The fund enables the award of fellowships which are administered in accordance with the regulations governing the Medical Awards.

The award is allocated to the highest ranked candidate in the Faculty’s list who meets the eligibility criteria.
