 Description:  The scholarship was established by Victor and Adele Bear to encourage and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in the Bachelor of Medicine. Victor Bear has worked as an Ear, Nose and Throat surgeon in Aboriginal communities in New South Wales and the Northern Territory.

 Eligibility:  Applicants must: be enrolled in the second year of the Bachelor of Medicine program; be enrolled full-time; identify as an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and be recognised as such by their community; not hold another scholarship for the same program of equivalent or more substantial benefit; and be Australian citizens or permanent residents. Selection is based on academic merit.
