Scholarship for Masters Program / Scholarship for PhD Program

The University of Tenaga Nasional is offering Uniten Bold Postgraduate Scholarships for International Students. There are two type of scholarships: Bold Excellent Student Scholarship – (PhD – RM 36, 000 or Master – RM24, 000) and Bold Talent Scholarship – (Master / PhD – RM 12, 000).

University’s vision is to be the premier graduate college in engineering, IT and business and to provide excellent research leadership and services.

 The University of Tenaga Nasional is a private university, located in Selangor, Malaysia, with GLC university status. It is wholly owned by the public-listed Tenaga Nasional Berhad, established in 1999.
  • Scholarships are available for pursuing master’s and PhD programme.
  • Scholarships are awarded to study the students offered by the university.

Amount of Scholarship:

This scholarship provides direct cash as award. PhD students and Master’s Degree students receive different amount of funding. The amounts paid as scholarship are:

  • PhD students get RM 36, 000
  • Master’s Degree students get RM 24, 000

This direct cash benefit is all this scholarship offers.

Who Can Apply for this Scholarship?

Now the question is who can apply for this scholarship. That means who are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Students who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply for this scholarship:

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree CGPA is 3.5 out of 4
  • Students who are currently receiving fund from any source cannot apply
  • Only international students are eligible to apply
  • Applicant must have receive offer letter for either Master’s Degree or PhD program from Universiti Tenaga Nasional.
  • Candidate have to face an interview on his/her Bachelor Degree syllabus
  • Candidate must not have any debt with Universiti Tenaga Nasional.

If a candidate fulfill the above criteria, then he/she is eligible to apply for this scholarship.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have completed Bachelor’s Degree.

There is no test required

English Language Requirement: Proof of competence in the English language is must required for non native English speakers.
