Top 10 Scholarship of Liberty University

Liberty University spends a huge amount of money every year to award scholarship to eligible and outstanding students. It provides scholarships to students who are residential as well as who are enrolled in online programs. So, everyone has equal opportunity to get a scholarship in Liberty University. The top scholarships of Liberty University are:

  1. CVCC Scholarship

Scholarship is for prospective students only. Current students who did not receive this scholarship upon matriculation are not eligible. Degree must be obtained prior to matriculation at Liberty.

Award: $5,000 per year up to four years

Eligibility:

  • Student must complete an Associate’s Degree from CVCC in 2008 or after
  • Students must graduates with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • Student must transfer directly to Liberty after completing degree at CVCC
  • This award is not stackable with the Phi Theta Kappa scholarship
  1. Heroes Fund Scholarship

Award: The Heroes Fund Scholarship (HFS) is offered to service members and honorably discharged Gulf War veterans (1990-present day which includes Desert Shield, Desert Storm, OEF & OIF) pursuing their first Certificate, Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree. Students approved for this scholarship will be awarded an amount to cover all remaining tuition and fees once financial aid and military aid have been deducted from the total amount of tuition and fees charged.

Eligibility

  • Be a recipient of the prestigious Purple Heart or
  • Rated 50-100% disabled by the Department of Veterans Affairs for a “combat-related” Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or
  • Rated 50-100% disabled by the Department of Veterans Affairs for “combat-related” injury, illness, or condition or
  • A spouse was killed in action during one of the Gulf Wars

Application: Students wishing to apply for the Heroes Fund Scholarship are required to submit the documentation itemized on the Heroes Fund Scholarship: Application Process web page. A complete HFS application will include all of the general document requirements, as well as the appropriate qualifying documents, and any additional supporting documents that are determined as needed.

Award: $4,000 per year for up to four years

Eligibility:

  • Liberty will use the best of the following grade point averages: High School GPA or a simple average of all college GPAs in which the student transferred 12 or more credit hours into Liberty University.
  • SAT/ACT are not required for students age 22 or older.
  • The grid above reflects the amounts students are eligible to receive per year based on the Math and Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (ERW) OR Critical Reading (CR) portions of the SAT, the composite score of the ACT and cumulative GPA. Super scoring is used for both the ACT (all four subtests) and the SAT (Math and ERW/CR only).
  • Students must meet the minimum Financial Aid satisfactory academic progress (SAP) standards to continue receiving this scholarship.
  • Transfer students should contact the Office of Admissions with questions regarding their Liberty Academic Scholarship eligibility.
  1. Unashamed Scholarship

Award: One $10,000 split evenly over four years

Application and Eligibility: Awarded to one student who submits an essay and presents to a panel of judges on how they represent and live “unashamed” for Christ.

  • Must be a United States resident
  • Must be a residential student
  • Essay-based award: Essay (500-1,500 words) must be submitted by Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018. See all details about the essay requirements and topic at liberty.edu/ms/unashamed.
  • Must register for and attend the September of current year College for a Weekend(CFAW) event at Liberty University.
  • Must present your essay to a panel of judges during CFAW on Saturday, Sept. 29.
  • One scholarship will be awarded this academic year
  1. We Creator Scholarship

Award: One $10,000 scholarships split evenly over four years

Eligibility: 

  • Must be a residential student
  • Video-based award: Video must be three minutes or less. Video must be submitted by Wednesday, March 21, 2018. Final details and topic details coming soon.
  • Must register for and attend the April of current year College for a Weekend(CFAW) event at Liberty University.
  • Must present your video to a panel of judges during CFAW on Saturday, April 7.
  • One scholarship will be awarded during this year
  1. International Mission Board (IMB) Scholarship

Note: We must receive a letter from IMB verifying the student’s current status. The student must contact IMB for the letter. IMB personnel should contact the appropriate team in the IMB Personnel Services Center for the letter.

Award: 100-percent tuition (student must pay the $50 administrative fee per term).

Eligibility

  • Awarded to Liberty University Online Graduate students pursuing a Master of Arts in Religion (MAR) degree who have Journeyman status with the IMB.

Award: 100-percent tuition (student is responsible for all fees and a $50 administrative fee per semester)

Eligibility

  • Awarded to SBCV one youth and one senior pastor only
  • Does not include Ph.D. in Counseling, Ph.D. in Theology and Apologetics, or Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) coursework
  • Must be a current SBCV member church with church membership established before January 2010

  • Fax letter on church letterhead, prepared and signed by church official, other than the student that includes the following: name, student ID number, position in the church (youth or senior pastor), and name of the scholarship applying for. Eligibility

  • Awarded to WVCSB one senior and one youth pastor only
  • Does not include Ph.D. in Counseling, Ph.D. in Theology and Apologetics, or Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) coursework
  • Must be a current WVCSB member church with church membership established before January 2010
  • WVCSB is limited to one degree, per level.

  1. Liberty Advantage Scholarship

Award: 15% off tuition only

Eligibility

  • Must be fully accepted into a degree-seeking Liberty University Online program
  • Liberty University Online Advantage recipient cannot break enrollment and must comply with the Broken Enrollment Policy
  • Complete an annual online form to verify the vocational/ministry status, as applicable
  • Discounts cannot exceed the cost of tuition
  • Discounts are applied as 15% off tuition only
  • Registration and Financial Check-In discount eligible students must meet the enrollment requirement as dictated by the rules for the specific promotion.

The Corporate and Affiliation Discount Program:

  • Must be affiliated with an eligible company or event
  • Students who graduate from LUOA are awarded a 15% discount toward Liberty University Online tuition. The 15% tuition discount is awarded by LUO upon receiving the final transcript from LUOA.
  • Complete the Verification Form(submit annually by July 1)
  • Corporate Partnership/Event 15% discounts are not stackable with the military discount Spring 2017 and forward.
  • 15% Liberty Advantage discounts are for tuition only and will not be applied to other costs such as fees or books
  • Spouses are also eligible, complete the Spouse Discount Verification Form
