Additional benefits may be available to students who obtain a first-class honours degree and continue on to a research program at UTAS. For example, the top 20 per cent of first-class honours graduates will be guaranteed a UTAS graduate research scholarship if they commence a research higher degree on a full-time basis at UTAS in the year following the completion of their honours degree.
