The scholarships are open to domestic and international students. It is expected that scholarship holders will be full-time students. Selection is based on: academic merit; research and other relevant experience; publication record; and relevance of the proposed research to the Faculty's research strengths.
Applicants must have been offered a PhD admission into the School of Finance and Economics in a relevant field. Tenure is subject to satisfactory progress.

Applicants must be undertaking a research PhD in accounting. Tenure is subject to satisfactory progress.
Applicants must: be Australian or New Zealand citizens, Australian permanent residents or permanent humanitarian visa holders; be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at the UTS Faculty of Science with satisfactory academic progression (for continuing students only); and be in financial need, as demonstrated through current Centrelink benefits, or otherwise demonstrated exceptional financial hardship. Selection is based on: motivation and interest in the chosen UTS course; personal experience and achievement as demonstrated in the scholarship application process; and academic merit (for commencing students - results of qualification used for entry into the UTS Science course; for continuing students - academic results of the previous year).
