Applicants must: be Australian or New Zealand citizens or Australian permanent residents; be female; be high school leavers; and be intending to enrol full time in the Bachelor of Engineering specialising in mechatronic engineering, aerospace engineering, manufacturing and management, mechanical engineering, or naval architecture. Selection is based on: academic merit; aptitude and commitment; and personal qualities.

William McIlrath Rural Scholarship

 Applicants must: be Australian citizens or permanent residents; be undertaking or have completed the HSC (or equivalent) in the previous 2 years; be proposing to undertake the first year of a full-time undergraduate program in the Faculty of Science, Engineering, Law, Medicine, Built Environment, or the Australian School of Business; and have resided in a rural area in NSW for at least 4 of their high school years. Selection is on the basis of academic merit, leadership qualities at school and contribution to the wider community through activities such as community service and sporting participation.

William McIlrath Postgraduate Travel Scholarship

Applicants must: be Australian citizens or permanent residents; be enrolled in a postgraduate research degree; and be proposing to undertake a period of study at an overseas institution. Selection is based on: financial need; academic merit; the reasons for the proposed overseas study; and how the funds will be utilised. It is expected that the period of study overseas will be for 3 to 6 months, but applicants intending to study for a shorter period of time are eligible to apply.

Waverley College Award in Arts & Social Sciences

Applicants must: be undertaking or have completed their HSC at Waverley College in two years prior to award; be intending to enrol in a full-time undergraduate program in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at UNSW; and be proposing full-time study in the first year of a Bachelor of Music or Music Education program at UNSW. Selection is based on academic merit and reasons for undertaking the program of study. Consideration may also be given to financial need.
