Jumbunna Postgraduate Research Scholarship

 Applicants must: be UTS students who are of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent; and have been accepted into a higher degree by research at UTS. Selection is based on: academic merit in previous studies; research and other relevant experience; research capacity of applicants; and potential for the proposed research project to benefit Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Jumbunna Honours Scholarship

 Applicants must: be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent (must complete a Confirmation of Aboriginality form or provide a statutory declaration); have completed a UTS-recognised undergraduate degree; and be enrolled in a UTS honours degree. Selection is based on academic merit in the undergraduate course.

John Hughes Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must: be Australian or New Zealand citizens, Australian permanent residents or permanent humanitarian visa holders; be full-time domestic students in their second (full-time or part-time) semester or later; be enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or related double degree; be able to demonstrate academic ability and commitment to completing their course; obtain no fail results for any subjects and achieve a minimum of a credit average in each semester; and be able to demonstrate financial hardship. Selection is based on financial disadvantage; academic merit (GPA) based on UTS results; and initiative in personal and professional life as demonstrated through the Scholarship application.

Indigenous Commonwealth Education Costs Scholarship (ICECS)

 Applicants must: be Indigenous Australian citizens of low socio-economic status; be commencing or undertaking a tertiary preparation program, associate degree, undergraduate program, or a graduate diploma in an area of National Priority as full-time Commonwealth supported students; and have not previously completed a bachelor degree or equivalent (except where it is an entry requirement for the current course). Tenure is dependent on satisfactory progress.
