Applicants must: be Australian or New Zealand citizens or Australian permanent residents; be able to demonstrate financial hardship; be eligible to enrol or be enrolled as a full-time student; be intending to enrol or be enrolled as an internal student based on a campus; hold a bachelor degree with first class honours (H1) or equivalent; not have completed a degree either at the same level as, or at a higher level; have been accepted into the proposed HDR by the BGRS; and not be in receipt of another award or scholarship that provides a benefit greater than 75 per cent of the William and Marlene Schrader Postgraduate Scholarships base stipend rate.
Applicants must: be enrolled as full time students at the University of Western Australia; have successfully completed 2 years of study in physiology; and be undertaking a physiology research project of at least 6 and no more than 8 weeks’ duration during the long vacation under the supervision of a member of staff in Physiology.
The scholarship is open to students who are enrolled in or who have completed Level 5 units of the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery and who have submitted an application form for an overseas elective placement. Selection is based on financial hardship.
