Yvonne Thomas Bursary

Applicants must: be female students aged 25 and over; be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit points per teaching period in an enabling or undergraduate award course; have not previously completed a degree; and have not previously been the recipient of an Yvonne Thomas Bursary.

Wood Scholarship

Applicants must: be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent; be commencing undergraduate or postgraduate studies within the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Molecular Sciences at JCU; and be enrolled to study full time. Selection is based on academic merit or potential.

William Williams Scholarship

Applicants must: be enrolled full-time at JCU in a Bachelor of New Media Arts Honours (Music and Sound Media), Master of Music, Master of Creative Arts or PhD, with music as their specialist area of study. There are no restrictions on citizenship. Selection is based on academic merit and leadership as demonstrated by academic records, work experience and, at the option of the selection committee, a personal interview.

Townsville Bulletin Scholarship in Medicine

 Applicants must: be Australian or New Zealand citizens or who hold a permanent visa; be enrolled in the MBBS program at JCU; and be residing in the area bounded by Innisfail in the North, Bowen in the South and Mount Isa in the West. Selection is based on having achieved at least a distinction average in the previous semester, character and the submission of an essay (max 1000 words) outlining how this scholarship would better enable the candidate to succeed in the study of medicine during their second year at JCU

Tom and Dorothy Cook Fellowship in Tropical Health

 Applicants must: be holding a degree in a health related or other relevant discipline; be capable of undertaking research which will contribute to the strategic research direction of the school; be eligible for enrolment in a master or doctoral program within the school; and have an excellent academic record. Selection is based on academic ability, including research and publication track record, quality of research proposal, capacity to contribute to the strategic research direction of the school, character and other criteria the Selection Committee deems appropriate.
