CQUni Indigenous Australian Postgraduate Research Award (UPRA-I)

The award is available to Australians of Indigenous descent. Selection will be based on the applicant's ability to demonstrate: academic achievement relative to life circumstances; a high level of motivation; ways in which this award will enhance future professional goals; potential for successful completion of a research higher degree; and the capacity to contribute the university's established Indigenous knowledge base.

BMA Indigenous Scholarship Program

 Applicants must: be enrolled at one of CQUniversity's Central Queensland campuses at the census date; be enrolled in an academic program that will contribute towards alleviating the skills shortages in the specified region (non-mining related) in Term 1; provide evidence that they belong to one of the recognised Indigenous Traditional Owner groups in BMA's footprint; and/or provide evidence that they or their parents reside permanently in one of the following specified postcode areas: 4717, 4720, 4723, 4744, 4745. Indigenous applicants regardless of residential address may also be considered if they can demonstrate a desire to complete a Bachelor program at CQUniversity and to contribute to the Bowen Basin region.

BMA Community Scholarship Program

Applicants must: be Australian citizens or permanent residents; be enrolled at one of CQUniversity's Central Queensland campuses by census date; be enrolled in an academic program that will contribute towards alleviating the skills shortages in the specified region (non-mining related) in Term 1; and provide evidence that they or their parents reside permanently in one of the following specified postcode areas: 4717, 4720, 4723, 4744, 4745. Applications are encouraged from students who identify as having a disability, are disadvantaged or come from a low socio economic background, or who are rural and remote.
