Vice Chancellor's Scholarships are awarded to students completing High School with the highest achieving ATAR or interstate equivalent enrolling full time and on campus in any Bachelor Degree at Southern Cross University.
Applicants must: be enrolled full-time in any undergraduate course at any campus; be residents within the boundaries of Currumbin (north), Coffs Harbour (south), and Woodenbong/Bonalbo (west); and expect to achieve an ATAR of 80+ (or equivalent). Special emphasis is placed upon meritorious performance under conditions of disadvantage. Tenure is dependent on the maintenance of a credit average. Consideration will be given to personal maturity and school responsibility. Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend an interview.
Applicants must: come from a low socioeconomic background; be completing their HSC (or equivalent) in the year prior to award; demonstrate commendable academic performance, leadership and contribution to community; and be commencing their studies full time and on campus in any undergraduate bachelor degree course. Scholarship recipients will be given opportunities to develop their leadership abilities through a special program of personal and professional development activities.
Applicants must: demonstrate academic achievement either in HSC (or equivalent) or mature age entry; be enrolling in a full time undergraduate course at SCU either on campus or by distance education; demonstrate genuine financial need under conditions of disadvantage and hardship; and be residing in the SCU footprint. Contribution and commitment to community is also considered.
