UWS Postgraduate Research Award

Applicants must: be domestic students (Australian citizens, permanent residents or New Zealand citizens); be enrolled or eligible for entry into a postgraduate research degree; not already hold an academic qualification equivalent to or at a higher level than the program being undertaken; not have previously held an Australian government funded research higher degree scholarship for 3 months or more, unless seeking to transfer; and have, or expect to attain, a bachelor honours degree class 1 or 2.1, or equivalent qualifications and experience.

UWS Opportunity Scholarship

  Applicants must: be Australian citizens or permanent residents; demonstrate financial or other hardship; currently reside in, or have completed their HSC, within the Greater Western Sydney region; demonstrate academic potential through a minimum ATAR of 80 or equivalent; and intend to enrol in any undergraduate degree at UWS in a Commonwealth Supported Place, or already be enrolled with a credit average in the previous year. Preference will be given to applicants who meet the financial hardship criteria. Non-current school leaver applicants will be considered on the basis of work experience and educational qualifications.

UWS International Exchange Scholarship

 Applicants must: be Australian citizens or permanent residents; be in their second or subsequent year of undergraduate study at UWS; have achieved satisfactory progress in their course at a minimum of a credit average; and be officially nominated by the International Office as an endorsed candidate. Selection is based on academic merit and/or equity considerations.

UWS Honours Scholarship

Applicants must: be Australian citizens or permanent residents, or fee-paying international students; have maintained a minimum GPA of 5.5; and be applying to study a bachelor honours program at UWS or be currently undertaking a bachelor honours program. Selection is based on academic merit. Students who are transferring to UWS from other universities to undertake a bachelor honours program are encouraged to apply.
