Swedish Institute Study Scholarship

Description:

The Swedish Institute is a public agency which offers generous scholarship for students from selected countries. The scholarship is for master’s programmes in Sweden. This programme aims to help future leaders to gather both professional and academic knowledge and thus experience Swedish society and culture to build strong relationship with Sweden and other territories. Approximate 275 number of scholarship might be available subject to changes in different academic year.

Benefits of this Scholarship:

  • Tuition fees
  • Living expenses of SEK 9,000 per month
  • Insurance
  • One-time travel grant of SEK 15,000 (only for scholarship holders from countries on the DAC list of ODA recipients)
  • The scholarship covers the whole duration of the master’s programme (one or two academic years)
  • No additional grants for family members

Eligibility:

  • Must be from an eligible country
  • At least 3,000 hours of experience from full-time/part-time employment, voluntary work, paid/unpaid internship, and/or position of trust.
  • Academic qualifications and leadership experience.

How to Apply:

Important Timeframe:

1 Dec – 16 January (First Step) – Must complete separate scholarship application for the master’s programme(s) through universityadmissions.se

End of January – Successful candidates will be notified and asked to pay university admissions application fee

1 Feb – 10 Feb (Second Step) – Submission of detailed application

Required Documents:

First application step 1 Dec– 16 Jan: ONE scholarship application in the SI online application portal.

Second application step 1 Feb – 10 Feb:

  • The list of successful candidates will be published at se at the end of Jan and asked to submit detailed application for the scholarship.
  • Letter of Motivation (According to the SI template)
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) (Europass Format)
  • One Letter of Reference (According to the SI template)
  • One proof of work experience (According to the SI template)
  • Copy of passport
  • Application through the online application portal (Open from 1 February – 24:00 CET 10 February)
