Description: The scholarships are in recognition of Dr Michael Quinlan and his significant contribution to medical education, clinical services and the Catholic Church. The purpose of the scholarships are to support the costs of travel, board, accommodation and administration fees for overseas or national placements taken by fourth year medical students of The University of Notre Dame Australia’s Fremantle campus.

Eligibility: Applicants must: be enrolled and studying in the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery in the School of Medicine, Fremantle; have successfully completed coursework and assessments up to and including their final year (MED400); be of good standing in the School of Medicine; have chosen an overseas or national disadvantaged area for their elective at the completion of MED400; and demonstrate a strong social justice philosophy for developing countries or marginalised groups.
