SEARCA PhD Research Scholarships in Agriculture for Southeast Asians is a scholarship program for study in agriculture. Only agriculture and agriculture related field of education is applicable for this scholarship.

The number of scholarship for this scholarship depends on the number of applicant and their competencies.
Target group:
Citizen of from SEAMEO member countries can participate in this scholarship program.

These benefits varies from time to time. The exact benefits for a particular time is published by the scholarship provider every year.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicant must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Applicant must be from any of the following countries: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam
- Applicant must pursue a PhD degree in agriculture or agriculture related science
- Research proposal of the application must be ready to be considered as eligible
- Research proposal must be focused on any of SEARCA’s priority thrusts under the broad themes of natural resource management and promotion of agricultural competitiveness.
How to Apply?
To apply for SEARCA PhD Research Scholarships in Agriculture follow the following procedure:
First of all, applicant has to collect all necessary documents. The list of the necessary documents are:
- SEARCA Scholarship Application Form (2 copies); Download from here: Application Form
- Letter of admission/acceptance from SEARCA-accredited university is highly preferred. In none, applicants must submit accomplished application forms for admission to the Graduate School of the universities where the applicant may pursue graduate studies under SEARCA scholarship;
- Official transcript of academic records of each degree completed (BS transcript for MS applicants and BS and MS transcripts for PhD applicants);
- Certification of employment;
- Brief description of the research the applicant plans to conduct for thesis/dissertation.The research topic must be in line with any of the strategic thrusts of SEARCA’s Tenth Five-Year Plan, namely Social Inclusion, Environmental Sustainability or Cross-cutting Concerns.
- Two copies of passport-size pictures of the applicant;
- Curriculum vitae;
- Certification from a medical doctor that the applicant is in good physical and mental health condition and is fit to undertake graduate studies;
- Official endorsement from the employer; and
- Results of Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): score of 550 for paper-based and 213 for computer-based) or IELTS results (6.0). The TOEFL results must be issued by Princeton, New Jersey, USA. Check the schedule and venue of TOEFL tests in your country at http://www.ets.org/toefl/.
After have collected all these documents, fill up the application form that u downloaded earlier. Then you have to submit the application along with these documents to any of the following ministries of the enlisted countries:
