The Radio Television Digital News Association offers Fellowships and Scholarships for the US as well as Non-US students. These Fellowships and Scholarship are available to pursue Journalism Programmes for the academic year 2017-2018.

These Fellowships and scholarships aim to assist high education achieving and highly motivated US and Non-US students at The Radio Television Digital News Association.

The Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA), formerly the Radio-Television News Directors Association (RTNDA), is a United States-based membership organization of radio, television, and online news directors, producers, executives, reporters, students, and educators. Among its functions are the maintenance of journalistic ethics and the preservation of the free speech rights of broadcast journalists.

  • Fellowships and Scholarships are available for Journalism programme.
  • Fellowships are open to college students pursuing careers in radio, television, or digital journalism.

Amount of Scholarship:

RTDNF has awarded more than $1 million in scholarships and fellowships to more than 500 young journalists as part of its mission as the educational arm of RTDNA.

Who Can Apply for this Scholarship?

The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for fellowships and scholarship:

  • Fellowships are open to professional broadcast or digital journalists with fewer than 10 years of experience. Scholarships are open to college students pursuing careers in radio, television, or digital journalism.
  • Winners must be officially enrolled, full-time sophomores. Juniors or seniors in good standing. Scholarship and fellowship winners are also invited to attend the Excellence in Journalism conference.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirements: Applicant must have their previous degree.

Complete the online application forms, including:

  • Work samples should be broadcast (television/radio) or online news pieces
  • Work samples should be uploaded to a host site like YouTube, Vimeo, Sound Cloud, etc.

Nowadays, it is difficult to find universities who are not offering online degree programs. Almost every reputed university of the world offer some sort of online degree programs. Sometimes these online degree programs are not a complete degree programs but education degree programs for some specific field. For example, MIT offers online degree programs for professionals and they earn certificate from MIT as professional course completion. These online degree programs are not complete on complete online bachelor degree programs or complete online master’s degree programs.
