Rotary Foundation Global Scholarship Grants for Development

Brief Description:
Through the Rotary Foundation Global Grant Scholarships, The Rotary Foundation offers scholarship funding for graduate-level coursework or research, lasting up to 1-4 academic years, for Non-Rotarians sponsored by Rotary District or Clubs

Host Institution (s):
Any approved university which is located in a country (other than the applicant’s host country), within a region, housing a host Rotary club or district.

Area of Study:
The areas of study that this scholarship program covers and focuses on, are: Peace and conflict prevention/resolution, Disease prevention and treatment, Water and sanitation, Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy, and Economic and community development..

Benefits of this Scholarship:

*Minimum grant of $30,000 will be provided, which would cover:
*Passport/Visa expenses
*Tuition
*Inoculations
*Travel expenses
*School and household supplies
*Accommodation
*Language training courses, if deemed necessary
Eligibility:

*The applicant must study from outside his/her home country
*He/She must have proof of their admission at the university and provide it at the time of application
*They must also have had worked or volunteered, established academic records and foreseen potential career plans based on one of the six areas of focus

Conditional admission is exercised, only if:
*The school requires a financial guarantee or completion of undergraduate degree

But one is non-eligible for conditional admission if:
*His/her admission has not moved forward due to the low scores in language courses.

Application Procedure:
*Firstly, applicants should lodge a request for information from their local Rotary clubs  via the  Rotary Club Locator, in order to know more on how to be sponsored for the grant.
*The application is created online by the sponsor clubs or district, where it is filled out by the applicant and submitted.
*The application must be submitted 3 months prior to the applicant’s intended date of commencement of their studies,  while keeping in mind their departure procedures and the time-period required by the Foundation to process their application.
*As each Rotary Club/District have unique timelines, the applicant is advised to download this
