 Description:  This 12-week program provides students with the opportunity to gain valuable skills and knowledge by contributing to real business projects within QANTAS. Throughout the program, students will: be assigned to a business project and play an integral part in the achievement of desired outcomes; participate in business unit studies to enhance overall corporate knowledge; and receive coaching and mentoring by senior business professionals who will expose them to a wide range of issues currently challenging the aviation and airline industry. This program is recognised by Engineers Australia and will contribute to credit points for students wishing to undertake their Chartered Engineering status.

 Eligibility:  Applicants must: be Australian or New Zealand citizens or Australian permanent residents; be enrolled in third or fourth year in the disciplines of aeronautical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or mechatronics; have achieved a credit average throughout the course of their studies; and be able to participate for the duration of the program. Selection is based on: motivation, energy and ambition; demonstrated strong academic success; strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to liaise and present to all levels; high analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems by thinking laterally; and genuine interest in the airline/aviation industry.

 Other Details:  Applications are made direct to RMIT. Applications are expected to open in September. Summer school maybe located in a different state. Typically it runs late November through to the end of February with a break over the Christmas/New Year period.
