 Description:  The National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health (NCEPH) is offering the opportunity to join a high-performing, collegial team as a postgraduate scholar for a period of approximately 3 years. The role would be to undertake analysis on an aspect of the cardiovascular disease inequalities project. The work undertaken should be a subject that the student is passionate about, at the same time as meeting the overall goals of the project.

 Annual Amount:  $25,849

 Annual Comment:  Recipients of the Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) receive a modest top-up of the award, as well as the opportunity to apply for paid Research Assistant work. If the successful applicant is not in receipt of an APA, they will receive a stipend of $25,849 per annum, tax free, paid in fortnightly instalments.

 Eligibility:  Applicants must: have a relevant undergraduate or master’s degree, meeting the requirements for enrolment in a doctoral candidature at the ANU; have knowledge of one or more of the following disciplines: medicine, psychology, epidemiology, statistics, biostatistics, health economics; have demonstrated quantitative research skills; have a strong desire to contribute to improvement of population health through rigorous evidence-based research.
