This scholarship program aims to provide sponsorship to outstanding young nationals of developing countries, who are strongly seeking an opportunity to undertake a Master’s degree in any field related to development, at any university/college in the world.

The subjects that this scholarship program aims to cover, are related to the economics of development (poverty reduction, energy and sustainable development), environment (desertification), or other related science and technology fields, under a Master’s degree.
Benefits of this Scholarship:
*A grant of $50,000 will be provided, over a period of one year, which would cover:
*Tuition fees
*Living expenses
*Insurance
*Accommodation
*Books and supplies
*Relocation grants
*Travel expenses
Eligibility:
The applicant:
*Must be aged between 23-32, at the time of lodging their application.
*Must have had completed their undergraduate studies or nearing the completion of their Bachelor degree, from an accredited college/university, or its equivalent.
*Must have attained a strong CGPA score of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 rating system, or its equivalent.
*Must be enrolled at an accredited university for the following academic year commencing from August/September 2016
*Must make sure that they retain onto their status of being a full-time Masters student,during the entire duration of the program
*Must have the nationality/citizenship of a developing country (except OFID member countries)
*Must make sure that their subject of choice is in sync with OFID’s core mission, such as: economics of development (poverty reduction, energy and sustainable development), environment (desertification), or other related science and technology fields.
