 Description:  The Maisie Fawcett Scholarships have been established as part of a collaborative agreement between the University of Melbourne and Victoria University (VU) with the purpose of facilitating pathways for VU graduates to access courses not offered at VU. The scholarship is name in honour of Maisie Fawcett, a graduate of the University of Melbourne and a distinguished botanist, who exemplifies why such a pathway is desirable.

 Eligibility:  Applicants must: be Australian citizens or permanent residents; belong to a designated equity group; have completed an undergraduate degree at Victoria University (priority will be given to students enrolling immediately following undergraduate studies); have demonstrated the capacity to successfully undertake the professional entry graduate degree being proposed; and enrol full-time in a Commonwealth Supported Place (part-time enrolment may be considered in exceptional circumstances). Eligible equity groups are: Indigenous descent; previous refugee status or current Humanitarian Visa status; rural or isolated background; socio-economic disadvantage; disability or chronic medical condition; or personal difficulties. Selection is based on academic merit and disadvantage.
