Description: The purpose of the scholarship is to enable a student enrolled in a unit in the Bachelor of Laws degree course that includes discussion of Indigenous issues, to undertake a project that relates to the student’s demonstrated interest in the relationship between the Australian legal system and the Indigenous peoples of Australia.

Eligibility: Applicants must: be enrolled in the Bachelor of Laws or a combined course which includes a course for the degree of Bachelor of Laws; and have completed the subjects Contract I and II, Criminal Law I and II, Torts I and II; Legal Process, and Property I and II. Selection is based on: the need for financial assistance to engage in the project; interest in social justice; and interest in having Indigenous issues more widely debated, understood and addressed. Applicants are required to submit a statement, a proposal for the use of the scholarship funds, and 2 references from 2 personal referees. Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend an interview.
