 Description:  The Hallmark Program allows students to join an elite program for high achieving students who are passionate about learning, and who want to work with other high achieving students by asking questions and finding answers. The program gives students the opportunity to join a team of ground-breaking researchers. They will be mentored by world-class researchers and participate in real research projects that address the big issues. They will also be given the opportunity to develop their personal, academic and professional skills though a range of activities within the University, through projects with Hallmark participants, university partners and involvement with the broader community.

 Annual Comment:  The scholarship provides $10,500 over 4 years. Successful applicants will receive a $2,000 ‘kick start’ payment in first year, and $8,500 in Hallmark Program benefits from second year onwards.

 Eligibility:  Applicants must: be Australian or New Zealand citizens, Australian permanent residents or permanent humanitarian visa holders; be studying a standard Victorian Year 12 (VCE) or standard Interstate Year 12 or IB in the year prior to award; have applied through VTAC for one of the specified courses and be selected into that course; and achieve a high ATAR for VCE or equivalent.

 Other Details:  The variety of Hallmark activities students can choose from include: International study experience; cross disciplinary project activities; guaranteed leadership training; Honours research expenses; expenses related to group project work; applicable professional memberships and conference attendance; career mentoring; involvement with research focus areas; volunteering activities; and other expenses as agreed with the Program Coordinator.
