KUT PHD Scholarship in Engineering for International Students.

Description: Establishing in 2003, the main aim of KUT special scholarship Programe is to support the advanced research of the university by building highly capable doctorial students. Every year in some specific timeline the University enrolls the selected doctorial students under specific research projects which are taught in English while assisting their host professor in his/her research projects.

Scholarship Provider: Kochi University of Technology Department of Engineering, Graduate school of Engineering.

Area of Study: PhD in Engineering.

Benefit of the Scholarship:

  1. The person entitled with the scholarship will receive exemption of 30, 000 yen entrance fee.
  2. The person will receive 300, 000 yen enrollment fee.
  3. Also the person will get 535, 800 yen per year as tuition fee.
  4. For conducting research and to support living expenses 150, 000 yen will be awarded.
  5. To support initial living cost and travel 150, 000 yen will be given.

Eligibility: Candidates are required to meet certain criteria.

  1. Before applying for the scholarship the candidate has to be enrolled in any master’s degree.
  2. To be 35 years old or less of that before the time of enrollment
  3. The candidate has to complete bachelors and master’s degree under reputable university with some excellent and strong academic records.
  4. The candidate must have the intention, knowledge and skills to work in designed project work.
  5. The applicant should have a high English proficiency.
  6. Travel & Initial expenses will be given only to International applicant who is living outside Japan at the time of application.

How to Apply: The applicant should follow below process to apply.

  1. From SSP research project list, the candidate has to choose a research paper.
  2. After that he/she has to complete the paper.
  3. Submit the completed paper with required documents by post.
  4. A confirmation response will be got from the university
