KTH Royal Institute of Technology is pleased to offer the postdoctoral scholarship in Mathematical Cosmology for the year 2017. International students are eligible to apply for this scholarship programme.
KTH Royal Institute of Technology is a university in Stockholm, Sweden. KTH was founded in 1827 as Sweden’s first polytechnic and is one of Scandinavia’s largest institutions of higher education in technology.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate proficiency in English by means of an internationally recognized test, e. g. TOEFL, IELTS or the equivalent.
- Scholarship is available to pursue postdoctoral programme.
- Scholarship is awarded in the field of Mathematical cosmology.
Amount of Scholarship:
Scholarship of 24 000 SEK value will be awarded.
Who Can Apply for this Scholarship?
The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the the scholarship:
A PhD degree, awarded (or planned to be awarded before the commencement of the position) from a foreign university, in mathematics is a requirement. We seek a candidate with a strong background in dynamical systems methods applied to problems in general relativity, in particular, cosmology. Experience with oscillatory singularities of the type that occur in Bianchi VIII and IX vacuum spacetimes is particularly important. The successful applicant should be strongly motivated, have the capability to work independently as well as in collaboration with members of the research group, and have good communication skills.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirements: Students must have a PhD degree, awarded (or planned to be awarded before the commencement of the position) from a foreign university, in mathematics is a requirement.
English language Requirements: In order to be eligible for university studies in Sweden, a student must demonstrate that they meet the English requirements for the course or programme.
