: IDB Scholarships for Muslim Communities in Non-Member Countries.

Description:

This Scholarship program is aiming to provide educational opportunities to the student of Muslim Communities in Non-Member Countries (SPMC) who have good academic record and in need of financial supports. This scholarship will be provided to these students of Non-Member countries among Muslim communities so that they can obtain their under graduation or first degree from a university of their own country or from the IDB member country’s universities.

Scholarship Provider:

In order to obtain this scholarship applicants are required to get admission or must be the student of 1st year in a reputed college/university in their home country. Exceptionally and if any professional course is unavailable in applicants home country then IDB will try to find a place for the applicant in an IDB member country who are willing to accept IDB students in their universities.

Area of Study:

Medicine, Engineering, Agriculture and other fields related to above disciplines

Benefits of this Scholarship:

  • This is scholarships are provided as interest free loan.
  • It is granted to the applicant’s community he/she belongs to.
  • After obtaining the graduation and finding a gainful job, all applicants are bound to repay the whole borrowed amount to the community or IDB local trusts.
  • Repaid amount will be used to provide additional scholarship to the needy students.
  • The scholarship program will cover all the required expenses of a student such as tuition fees, accommodation cost & health cost as set by the IDB.

Eligibility:

The applicant must meet the following criteria:

  • Maximum 24 years of old.
  • Must have obtained higher/senior secondary or pre university education with good academic results and should have major in science subjects and language of instruction.
  • Applicants must ensure admission in any relevant degree which comes under the scholarship program in a reputed college/university in his/her home country.
  • Applicants must not be the beneficiary of any other scholarship program while applying
  • Determined and needy Muslim.
  • Must come with recommendation of Counterpart Organization.

 

 

How to Apply:

  • Applicants can collect Information and application forms from counterparty organizations of his/her home country.
  • Counterparty organization will announce the program and the program follows a 12-month cycle of academic and logistic activities every year.
  • Deadline varies but is around June-December each year.
