Greek Government Scholarships for Foreign Students

Description: This captivating scholarship is being offered by the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs to foreign nationals who looking for undergraduate or postgraduate studies or further research work in any of Greece’s Universities or Research Centers. The scholarship is available for the session 2015-2016.Besides summer seminar in Greek Language & Civilization is also included here.

Scholarship Provider: Universities in Greece

Area of Study: the programs which are considered suitable will be offered by the participating  universities.

Benefits of this Scholarship:

  • 400 euro for undergraduate studies
  • 450 euro for postgraduate or research
  • A flat allowance for settlement cost would be 500-550 euro
  • A single amount of 150 euro will be provided yearly for transport costs
  • Tuition fees will be exempted as part of scholarship, but applicable only for undergraduate studies
  • Free medical treatment will be a part of scholarship, but only in case of emergency and that too only in public hospitals ( for European Union Citizens, the European Health Insurance Card will suffice).
  • It is to be noted that selected scholarship recipients for postgraduate studies or research who want to take on Greek language courses as well, shall not have exemption of tuition fees. They will have to select programs from the free of charge programs, otherwise they will have to provide their own tuition fees.

How to Apply:

Candidates who will be fulfilling the above requirements

  • Have to submit the application form & requirements
  • The media would be Greek Diplomatic Authorities in their resident country.
  • If there is no Greek Embassy in home country then go neighboring country for further procedure.
  • The deadline is 30th April, 2015
