 Description:  The University of the Sunshine Coast is offering a scholarship supported by the Shadforth family, to a PhD candidate to conduct research into the beneficiation of natural and existing road making materials to develop superior materials and methods for infrastructure through pavement construction.

 Eligibility:  Applicants must: hold a Bachelor degree with First Class honours, or have an equivalent level of attainment as determined by USC; be a domestic student (Australian citizen or permanent resident, or New Zealand citizen); not hold an equivalent HDR qualification to that being applied for; not be receiving an equivalent scholarship or salary providing a benefit greater than 75 percent of the APA stipend rate to undertake the HDR; and must maintain satisfactory progress as a full-time higher degree by research candidate at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
