Tenure is for 2 years for master students and 3 years for PhD students, with a possible 6-month extension.

Eligibility: Applicants must: plan to undertake, or be currently enrolled in, a graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne; have completed tertiary studies that are at least equivalent to a 4-year Australian honours degree with a minimum grade average of a high H2A; and be of Indigenous descent, and/or prove that their tertiary studies have been adversely affected by illness, disability, family responsibilities, or a traumatic event beyond their control.
