Fellowships 2017-2018 for Graduate study or Research in Belgium

Description:

The Belgian American Educational Function (B.A.E.F..) is offering a fellowship program aimed for advanced study or research. The program is going to be taken place during 2017-2018 academic year. 10 fellowships will be awarded by B.A.E.F. as outright non-renewable grants carrying a stipend of $27,000 for master’s or Ph.D students and $31,000 for post-doctoral fellows. Fellows are expected to stay in Belgium for 12 months. If a fellow is not able to stay in Belgium within this 12 months, the stipend will be prorated according to his time span in Belgium.

Benefits of the Scholarship:

  • Master’s and Ph.d studets will be awarded with $27,000
  • Post-Doctoral Fellows will be awarded with $31,000
  • The foundation will provide health insurance to the students

Eligibility:

  • Students must be citizens or permeant residence of USA
  • Applicants must have any of these following 3 degrees.
    1. At the time of the application, be registered in a Ph.D or an equivilant degree program in USA.
    2. BAEF fellowship register in a graduate program in Belgium.
    3. Hold a Master’s, Ph.D or Post-Doctoral applicant by july 1, 2017.
  • Optional knowledge of Dutch, French or German will be appreciated.

Applicants have to arrange their own registration or affiliation with B.A.E.F. The application form can be downloaded from here. Application deadline is October 31, 2016.
