Brief Description:
This program is called the Agris Mundus Masters course which is a 2 year program meaning it has 120 credits. This program is based on agriculture and management of natural resources. The mission of this course is to prepare and train students so that they can cope with the international and global problems/issues of in agriculture and rural development. Graduates will enhance the skills to better understand and analyze the development of crops, forests, and animal reproduction. They will learn to manage the research rural development projects and also manage sustainable use of natural resources along with the environment. These students will be able to come up with innovative solutions to complex problems posed in the natural world.
Scholarship Provider:
The European Commission provides these scholarships to several universities including Wageningen University and Research Centre (WUR), University of Copenhagen, Faculty of Life Sciences, University College of Cork (UCC), Universita degli Studi di Catania, Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, and Montpellier SupAgro.

Benefits of Scholarship:
- A total of 15 to 30 scholarships are offered to students each year.
- This scholarship has a wide eligibility regarding demographics. The 27 members of the European states are included. These are Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany,Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom. Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, and Slovakia
- The countries of Economic Area/ Free trade are also included such as Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway
- The third countries (all the other countries of the world)
- The candidate will get a monthly allowance of Eur. 1,000/month.
- This is for all 12 months.
- On top of that you will get travel allowances and other type of costs worth of 4,000 per year
Eligibility:
- Candidate must have 180 credits completed in Bachelor’s of Science in a field related to agricultural development or a bachelor’s in social science.
- The institution that the candidates will come from must be of excellent quality
- The student must be in the top 20% (1st class or 2nd class minimum)
- A strong personal essay detailing his motivation for this direction in career
- 2 letters of references from previous university
How to Apply:
- Application usually starts on December and ends in January
- The application must be done online only
- Prepare all necessary documents
- A copy of your academic degree with official seal
- If not English, French, Spanish or Italian must have a verified translation
- Register a new account
- Fill up all the required information
- Upload the necessary documents
- Make sure that the 2 references you made also uploaded the documents in the website
- Make sure you received acknowledgement by email of your application
- If you are selected you will have to send in your attachments in mail.
