This scholarship is a part of Emory University Scholar Programs.  This program is dedicated to help students with extraordinary academic achievement and outstanding extracurricular engagement by providing distinct resources and making them fully potential for the betterment of the University as well as global community.

Eligibility:

Emory University Office of Undergraduate Admission requires official scores from the SAT and/or the ACT; if English is the second language, it is highly recommended that the applicant will submit results from the TOEFL or IELTS (Testing Codes: SAT/TOEFL: 5187; ACT: 0810).

How to Apply:

Application Process:

Submit Complete Application by Mid of November > Select one Admission decision plan (Early Decision I, Early Decision II, or Regular Decision)

  • Candidates for Early Decision I (EDI) can apply to Scholar Programs by November 1
  • Currently candidates are not required to be nominated for being considered in this scholarship program, thus no additional nomination forms are required

Selection Process:

  • Undergraduate Admission Office of Emory University administer the selection procedure of merit-based scholarships. Financial aid application process is completely separate from this procedure and does not have any impact.
  • Approximately 175 to 200 candidates will be selected and notified as Scholar Finalist by February 15. They will also receive admission to Emory College, Oxford College, or the Goizueta Business School. Those candidates who will not be selected as Scholar Finalist will also be considered for the admission under the selected admission plan.
  • The selected finalist will be invited to a Scholar Finalists Visit Program in Spring which will include different activities and interviews designed to build finalists well acquainted with the University and other Scholar Programs available.
  • Invited Scholars have to submit an additional Scholar essay prior to the Visit Program.
  • The selection committee make their final choices for different scholarship soon after these Visit programs

 

N.B: Finalists are invited to participate in one specific program only (Emory Scholars, Oxford Scholars, or Goizueta Scholars). This on-campus Scholar Finalist visit program is must to be considered for the merit scholarship and membership in a Scholar Program.
