Brief Description:

With an aim to benefit the children and women in their concern regions the MMMF (The Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund offers awards educational grants to women from the developing countries who all are under the ground of graduate studies and future plans.

 

Scholarship Provider:

University of Cape Town South Africa, University of Stellenbosch, University of Pretoria and University Witwatersrand.

 

Area of Study:

Courses offered are eligible ground on the participating.

 

Benefits of this Scholarship:

  • The women students are from University of Cape Town in South Africa, University of Stellenbosch, University of Pretoria and University Witwatersrand.
  • A portion of the total costs for an academic year will be granted by MMMF.
  • For other financial resources application will be required.

Eligibility:

 

The following Criteria are must to be meet by the students applying for the MMMF grant from South Africa Universities:

  • To working to empower women and children in developing countries it is highly necessary to demonstrate a commitment (see detailed instructions on applications).
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • For the aim of working  towards empowerment of women and children for the sake of  returning to a developing country within two years of completing degree or intend to remain in developing country at least two years to
  • A candidate must be 25 years old at time of application deadline (See detailed instructions on application).
  • Satisfactory academic performance is required.
  • Candidate shall be a citizen of a country listed on theMMMF Country Eligibility List (see list on mmmf-grants.org website).
  • At the time of application and plan a candidate must be enrolled at an accredited academic institution to be enrolled for a full academic year upon receipt of grant.
  • A concern candidate shall not be a relative of a World Bank Group, International Monetary Fund or Inter-American Development Bank staff or his/her spouse.
  • Yet not received a grant from MMMF previously.
  • Other than South Africa applicants applying from eligible countries should be in possession of a study permit for South Africa.
