All graduate level courses leading to a degree are suitable for this scholarship including every full-time master’s and DPhil courses. However Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma courses are not accepted for applying to the Clarendon Fund Scholarship.

  • Awardees pursuing a full-time course will get a generous yearly endowment which covers accomodation expenses (valued at £14,296 for the year 2017-2018). Awardees who pursue part-time courses are provided with study support grant which aids in covering their non-fee expenses.
  • The scholarship which covers the full tuition fees is usually given for the full amount of time it takes to complete the course at the University.

Eligibility:

  • All applicants pursuing graduate studies leading to a degree at the Oxford University are eligible for this scholarship regardless of their nationality.
  • All plausible subject areas are open to applicants who apply for master’s or DPhil courses by the admission deadline of January.
  • Exceptional academic records are required for this scholarship. A high first class honors degree with a GPA score of minimum 3.7 out of 4 or an excellent academic result at master’s level is required.
  • Applicants who hold deferred offers to start in 2017-18 are not eligible for this scholarship. Students who will continue to study for the same degree at Oxford in the next year are not eligible for this scholarship.

How to Apply:

Candidates applying for a full-time master’s or DPhil course at Oxford University by the January deadline will automatically be taken into account for a Clarendon Scholarship.

  • No additional documents are needed to be submitted for this scholarship.
  • Separate application form for the Clarendon Scholarship is not needed.
  • Candidates need to apply before the January deadline (6 January or 20 January 2017) for their desired course if they wish to be regarded for the scholarship.
