Sir Edward ‘Weary’ Dunlop Scholarship at Swinburne University

Applicants must: achieve outstanding academic results; submit a statement of 500 words on the significance of the life of Sir Edward Weary Dunlop in respect of community service; and provide evidence of current involvement in community affairs which must have been continuous for a period of at least 2 years. Community service could include: local government sponsored voluntary activity; work for a recognised charitable organisation; service with youth community organisations such as Scouts, Girl Guides, etc.; service through community sponsored sporting activities; and community service through such schemes as the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Rosemary Simpson Scholarship For Rural and Regional Students

Applicants must: be Australian citizens; be accepted into a full-time undergraduate degree at Swinburne, with preference given to Year 12 school leavers; be commencing study in Semester 1, 2015; have relocated from a rural or regional area in order to study at Swinburne; demonstrate financial need and commitment to their studies; and demonstrate qualities of leadership and/or community participation.
