Whitehorse City Council Scholarship

Applicants must: be Australian citizens or holders of a permanent humanitarian visa; be continuing or commencing students enrolled full-time in an undergraduate course at the Melbourne Burwood Campus in a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP); have been residents of the City of Whitehorse for at least 3 years; have a demonstrable involvement and contribution in the local community; and be in receipt of a means-tested Centrelink benefit.

Warrnambool Relocation Grants

Applicants must: be Australian citizens or permanent residents; be accepted into a Business and Law degree (including combined degrees) at Deakin University; be commencing study in trimester 1; have relocated from their normal place of residence in order to study at the Warrnambool campus; demonstrate commitment to their studies; and be experiencing financial hardship.

May and Romeo Schiavon Honours Scholarship in Rural and Regional Journalism

Applicants must: be Australian citizens or holders of a permanent humanitarian visa; be enrolled full-time in an honours degree in the Faculty of Arts and Education at Deakin University in a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP); and be undertaking a project in regional journalism. Selection is based on academic merit and submission of a proposal for an honours project in regional journalism.

John Stanhope PhD Scholarship in Leadership

  Applicants must: have an Honours degree (First Class) or a Master’s degree in a related field with a substantial research component (equivalent to a First Class Honours degree); be Australian or New Zealand citizens or permanent residents; be enrolling full-time; and have a background in leadership study or another relevant field. Preference will be given to applicants who are the first in their family to attend university.

Indigenous Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery Scholarship

  Applicants must: be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent; be new students enrolled full time in the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at Deakin University; and be in receipt of a means-tested Centrelink benefit or have a personal or family taxable income below the HECS-HELP repayment threshold, depending on independence status.

Indigenous Access Scholarship (IAS)

Applicants must: be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent; be undertaking an undergraduate course of study in a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP); be enrolled full-time unless there are exceptional circumstances preventing full-time study; be in receipt of a Centrelink benefit, or be able to demonstrate a personal or family taxable income below the HECS repayment threshold, depending on independence status; not hold a bachelor degree or higher-level award unless such award is a prerequisite to the current course of study; and be enrolled at the Institute of Koorie Education. Selection is based on: the degree of involvement in their local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community; financial, educational or social disadvantage; responsibility for others; and disability status.

IGNITED Scholarship

  Applicants must: be female; be Australian citizens or holders of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa; and be commencing students (current Year 12 in Australia) enrolled full-time in the Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours), Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours), Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering (Honours), Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Honours), Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Information Technology, Bachelor of IT Security or Bachelor of Games Design and Development.

Grigg Family Access to Education Scholarship (First in Family)

 Applicants must: be Australian citizens or permanent residents; be enrolling for the first time at Deakin University in the first year of an undergraduate degree; be the first in their family to gain a tertiary education; be from a regional or rural area of Victoria; demonstrate community service or willingness to participate in community-type service; be in receipt of a Centrelink benefit or have a personal or family taxable income below the HECS-HELP repayment threshold; and be enrolled in a Commonwealth Supported place.

Global Science and Technology Program

Applicants must: be enrolled in an undergraduate degree within the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built Environment; undertake 1 or 2 trimesters of study at a foreign institution (through exchange or study abroad); complete Deakin University’s Global Citizenship Program; and have minimum ATAR or equivalent of 80.
