Western College Transition Scholarship

The scholarship is open to students who reside in the Wellington Shire Local Government Area and have completed the majority of their schooling in the area. Preference will be given to commencing students. Selection is based on academic merit; involvement in the local community; and career goals and aspirations.
Applicants must: be descendants of a graduate of the Wagga Wagga Teachers' College; be undertaking their final year of any course in the Faculty of Education at the Wagga Wagga campus. If there are no suitable applicants, then consideration will be given to a student undertaking the final year of studies in the Faculty of Education at the Wagga Wagga campus.
Applicants must: be of Aboriginal descent; be long term residents of the Wagga Wagga Local Aboriginal Land Council boundaries commencing or undertaking any year of any undergraduate degree at Wagga Wagga campus; have a sound academic record; and be able to demonstrate financial need and explain their personal circumstances, financial situation, future goals (including Koori Community involvement) and aspirations. Tenure is dependent on ongoing enrolment and maintenance of a 5.0 grade average.
Applicants must: be full-time internal students enrolled in first year of any undergraduate degree at the Wagga Wagga campus of CSU; and have lived within the boundaries of the City of Wagga Wagga for at least the last 5 years.
