Description:
The Belgian Technical Cooperation (BTC) Scholarships and Traineeships are awarded by the Belgian Directorate-General for Development Cooperation (DGDC). The scholarships are administered and coordinated by BTC and implements the scholarship files, welcomes the students and guides them for the duration of their academic training and stay in Belgium.The scholarships usually lasts for 1 or 2 academic years.

Area of Study:
The scholarships are available to all academic fields.The mixed doctorate scholarships are generally awarded to finance postgraduate courses (doctorate/PhD students) while internship scholarships are primarily awarded to experts working in the field of cooperation.
Benefits of this Scholarship:
- The grant recipients receive a monthly living allowance
- The scholarships also cover registration fees of the candidates
- The grant covers the travel expenses of the candidates
- Payments of insurance are provided to the grant recipients.
Eligibility:
- Candidates must be a citizen of one of the following BTC partner countries: Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru, Burundi, Benin, D.R. Congo, Algeria, Morocco, Mali, Mozambique, Niger, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda and South-Africa.
How to Apply:
- Interested applicants must send their application form directly to the Attaché for Development Cooperation or to the Embassy of Belgium in the partner country.
- Only these authorities can deliver the necessary application forms to BTC for processing.
