Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) and Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade the Department of Education organized one of the most prestigious scholarships especially for development countries students called ‘Australian Awards Scholarship’ or’ Australian Development Scholarship(ADS)’ in order to offer next generation global leaders to all over the world. Students from Indo-Pacific region countries are especially applicable for this scholarship who wants to take full-time undergraduate and postgraduate study at different Australian universities and Technical and Further Education(TAFE) institutions.

It’s to notify that this program is not available for training in areas related to flying aircraft, nuclear technology or military training.
Benefits of the Scholarship:
This scholarship is offer for maximum two years inclusive of any preparatory training.
Scholarship recipients will generally receive the following:
- Full tuition fees.
- Return Air travel.
- Establishment Allowance.
- The Contribution of Living Expenses (CLE).
- Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).
- Introductory Academic Program (IAP).
- Pre-Course English (PCE) fees.
- Fieldwork Allowance-for research students and Masters by coursework which has compulsory fieldwork component.

Eligibility:
Applicant must:
- Be a minimum of 18 years of age at the time of applying for Scholarship.
- Be a citizen of participating country (As listed on the Australian Award Website) and residing in and applying for the scholarship from their country of scholarship.
- Not be married, engaged to, or a de facto of a person who holds, or is eligible to hold, Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency, at any time during the application, selection or mobilization phases
- Not be currently serving military personnel
- Not be a citizen of Australia, hold permanent residency in Australia or be applying for a visa to live in Australia permanently
- Not be applying for another long-term Australia Award unless they have resided outside of Australia for twice the length of the total time that they were in Australia
- Have at least two years’ full-time work experience in a relevant field
- Be able to satisfy the admission requirements (including portfolio requires) of the institution at which the award is to be undertaken. This means applicants must have completed a tertiary level qualification at least equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree
- Be able to satisfy all requirements of the Department of Immigration and Border Protection to hold a Foreign Affairs or Defense Sector (Subclass 576) visa.
- Applicants must inform the Program Area of any connection or relationship to staff employed at Program Areas or with managing contractors so that the application may be properly and transparently managed.
