Description:
The International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS) program will be awarded to eligible international students who wish to pursue Postgraduate Research Qualification in Australia and have the opportunity to expand their research skills under the guidance of prominent researchers from Australia.
Scholarship Provider:
The universities of Australia participating this scholarship award program.
Around 300 scholarships will be awarded annually.
Area of Study:
Masters by research degree or Doctorate Degree offered by participating Universities in Australia.
Benefits of the Scholarship:
The selected students under the IPRS Scholarship program will receive the benefits which are following:
- Full tuition scholarship
- Health coverage costs for eligible students and their dependents (if any)
- The length of the scholarship will be 2 years for a Research Master’s degree or 3 years for a Research Doctorate program.
Eligibility:
- To qualify for applying for an IPRS award, the applicant has be an international student which excludes citizens of New Zealand
- The applicant has to enroll in a full-time program at an eligible university in Australia who are awarding this scholarship.
- The basic guideline to determine the eligibility criteria for the IPRS are listed in section 3.10.1 of Commonwealth Scholarships Guidelines (Research) 2012.

How to Apply:
- Applicants need to apply for the scholarship directly to any participating university based on their suitability of desired program and approach their scholarship office to obtain the application directions for the IPRS scholarship and the key deadlines.
- The deadlines usually vary between universities but generally the deadlines for the universities are around April-October each year.
