Many international students who are hard-working, persevering and goal-oriented come from countries that lack enough resources that will suffice their thirst of knowledge. The AU Emerging Global Leader Scholarship is for those students who have a dream to complete their Bachelor’s Degree in US and will adapt to any change of environment to do so, in the hopes of leading their countries towards greatness when they return.

Scholarship Provider: American University, Washington DC, USA.

Area of Study: Bachelor’s Degree.

Benefits of this Scholarship:

AU will pay the full tuition fee.
AU will pay for the room/dorm that the student is allocated to live in.
AU will pay for meals as well as any other usual accommodations the student will be needing.
This scholarship can be extended for all four years providing the student has satisfactory academic performance.

Eligibility:

A minimum 7 in IELTS, 95 TOEFL or 600 paper-based TOEFL.
8 GPA equivalent in 9^th-12^th grade (GPA 5 in all subjects in SSC and HSC is applicable).
Students who are from developing/under-developed countries and face many challenges to get proper education will be given preference.
Any certificates/official documents that show proof of community service, leadership, charity works etc should be submitted.
CANNOT be a U.S. citizen (First or second home).
CANNOT already be enrolled in any undergraduate program in his/her own or any other country.

Two academic letters of recommendation.
CV or resume.
IELTS or TOEFL score.
Completed Certification of Finances for International Students (CFIS) form and bank letter, each showing U.S. $4000 minimum.
Application fee of U.S.$65.00.
All transcripts, papers and results can be scanned and emailed to admissionsdocuments@american.edu.
Complete the application before January 15^th, 2017.
