The University of Sheffield, together with Allan & Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust and the Sheffield Institute of International Development is now offering 12 scholarships (over 3 years) for the international students from developing countries for a number of courses affiliated with the Sheffield Institute for International Development. There are 4 scholarships that are available in every year.

Area of Study:

MA in International Development, Cities & Global Development, Globalisation & Development, Global Justice, International Relations; MSc in Environmental Change & International Development, International Social Change & Policy; and MPH in International Development.

Benefits of this Scholarship:

  • Offering a full tuition fee waiver in each scholarship.
  • Offering maintenance for University accommodation.
  • Offering a monthly stipend for the enrolled students.

Eligibility:

  • Students holding an offer for one of the proposed courses at the University of Sheffield by Friday 29 April.
  • Students must be classified as overseas regarding tuition fee.
  • Students must be full timer in terms of attendance.
  • Students must be self-funded (not by research council, government, private enterprise, charity or any similar organization) to receive this award.
  • Students must be nationals of, or permanently domiciled, in one of the eligible developing countries or territories.
  • This scholarship won’t be awarded along with any other funding awards, either from the University of Sheffield or external sources.
  • This scholarship cannot be deferred; students must begin their studies at the University of Sheffield in every year.
  • Receipt of the scholarship is subject to successfully meeting any condition(s) attached to their offer before the deadline provided by the Admission Service.
  • Receipt of the scholarship is subject to successfully receiving a visa to study at the University in September of every year.

How to Apply:

  • Applications are closed for now.
  • Students will be considered for the scholarship automatically, if they are nationals of, permanently domiciled in, one of the eligible countries or territories and if received an offer to study one of the eligible courses by Friday, 19 April of every year.
